Catharine Weaver

Catharine has been involved with glass art in one form or another, for over 25 years. Her creations range from fantasy to whimsical in appearance, rather than realistic copies of the items that have inspired her, which she says “helps to keep the fun in creating” for her. Each piece has a personality all its’ own, and are unique in the fact that most are under 2-3″ in width and height.

Catharine teaches lampworking at GlassCraft Expo each year and gives private lessons in her studio throughout the rest of the year. Pictures of her work can be seen in Lark Books “1,000 Glass Beads”, Jim Kervins, “More than you ever wanted to know about glass” and the Flow Magazine’s “Women in Glass” second edition. Member of the ISGB and the “Made in Alaska ” program.
